What is biofeedback?
Biofeedback is an invaluable tool that can assist you in reaching your riding goals. Specialized software enables quantifiable measurements of heart rate and heart rate variability, relaying this information to you immediately.

This process raises your awareness and conscious control of your unconscious physiological activities. By gaining access to information about your body that was previously unknown, you begin to gain control of your state. You begin to train yourself in something referred to as self regulation.

How can it help you?
Like any athlete engaged in performing a skill, the individual using biofeedback uses self monitoring to improve performance. A rider adjusts their body to alter their communication. With the assistance of biofeedback, the same rider adjusts her state to sharpen her focus. Both types of learning, physical and mental, are accomplished through observation and training.

Biofeedback training can be utilized to resolve many types of performance issues. Among them: performance anxiety,
physical fear, stress management, peak performance training, emotional control, and focus control.

For younger riders and those of us adults who just like to play, there are also biofeedback games that can help you learn while you are having some fun!
